Booking terms and conditions
By making a booking via Airbnb, you and your party agree to the following terms and conditions:
CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES
Please feel free to check in between 1pm and 6pm on your day of arrival. Times can be discussed with the host via Airbnb.
However, we understand that journeys don’t always go as planned, and we won’t leave you stranded in your car if you arrive late! But, please let us know if you’re delayed beyond 6pm by sending us a WhatsApp or Airbnb message, so that we can ensure someone can guide you onto the property and show you around. Please note that there is no reception onsite and our gate is always locked and secured.
Please check out of your room by 11am on the day of departure. We do not mind you staying until midday to enjoy time at the pool. Should your flight leave in the evening and you would like to explore the rest of the day then you are able to store your luggage for a flat day fee of R150.
BOOKINGS
All booking are to take place via Airbnb. Visit our Instagram account for the various listing links in our highlights. Our Instagram handle is @vineyardsonvictoria
PAYMENT
Payment is due via Airbnb.
CANCELLING YOUR BOOKING
The deposit is non-refundable. However, please let us know if there are extenuating circumstances, and we will do our best to find a solution to help you.
BABIES & TODDLERS
We have a baby camp cot, linen and a feeding high chair. These items are only available upon request and if they have not already been booked.
CAR PARK
We have onsite secured parking for guests on the property. Cars are parked here at their owners risk. The main risk being branches that may fall down and cause damages or damages that occur by manoeuvring as space is limited.
DAMAGE AND BREAKAGES
Please tell us about any damage you cause during your stay, so that we can repair or replace anything needed. Accidents happen, and we don’t usually charge for them. But if we feel there’s been carelessness, we reserve the right to charge for repair or replacement.
Lost keys will however need to be paid for at a cost of R200 per set.
LIABILITY
We do not accept any liability for damage, loss or injury to you, or any member of your party, or any of your vehicles or possessions..
LOST PROPERTY
Any lost property, if discovered and found, will be held for a period of at least 1 month. We are happy to post lost items via recorded delivery at your own cost, or can put items aside for collection on a subsequent visit.
MISSING ITEMS
We reserve the right to charge for items missing from your room.
PETS
We do not accept pets, but can occasionally do so, if we give our consent in advance. We do not have the necessary equipment to look after your pets, so, if you do get our consent to bring your little loved one, please ensure you have everything you need with you.
PRICES
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but existing bookings will remain unaffected.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted within the property or at the pool. You may smoke in the grounds, but please do not leave cigarette stubs on the property.
PARTIES
Parties are not allowed. Bringing guests or friends onto the property must require our consent first.
ACCESSIBILITY
This is a 100 year old building, and was unfortunately not designed with accessibility in mind. Whilst we do not have any specific facilities for guests with disabilities, we do have one suite which is on the ground floor. Please contact us in advance to let us know your requirements, and we can let you know whether or not it would be suitable for your use.
WINE AND ALCOHOL SALES
We offer our very own Sauvignon-Blanc for our guest to enjoy as well as a selection of locally brewed craft beer. The latest prices can be found in the wine cellar. We inform guests that alcohol may only be consumed by persons of the age of 18 and older. Please respect the local traffic laws that strongly prohibit driving under the influence of alcohol. We recommend that you order an Uber instead. Unfortunately, we do not offer wine tastings.
SAFETY
We recommend that guests always keep their doors locked. When leaving the property - make sure that the gate is fully closed before driving off. Each apartment is fitted with a smoke and CO2 detectors. Please do not temper with the detectors.
CHILDREN AND BABIES
Unfortunately, we are only hosting children with an accompanying parent that must be 12 years of age or older. We have only one interest - making sure that no accidents happen. We do so since our property has vast farmland and an open pool that are easily accessible. Should you still wish to bring a baby or younger child then we will have to ask you to sign a waiver before booking with us. We appreciate your understanding.
POOL
Our pool is open year around for all guests. Please use our pool only during day light from 7am-7pm. Our pool has a depth of 1,4 to 1,8m. Children must always be supervised by a parent that is able to swim. Please do not use the pool for parties and always keep the noise level down. Do not use portable speakers to play load music or disturb other guests.
TERMINATION POLICY
All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of mind of all members of the household at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance to us or to the other guests. In which case any outstanding account must be settled, and no refunds will be made.
